The trial filed by Liviu Harbuz against Association R.E.A.D.C. Turda, for the denigrating and slanderous nature of the statements made by us in the public environment, took place on 18.12.2018.
Mr. Liviu Harbuz hopes to obtain from us the sum of 20.000 euros, which he considers to be moral damages for the attainment of the right to dignity, honor and reputation.
One of the witnesses proposed by us, Mr. Claudiu Dumitriu, President of Association Alliance for Combating Abuses and vice-president of FNPA, whom we thank in this way, for his support. He supported us in our struggle against the abuses and irregularities from the sanitary-veterinary system in Romania. Giving evidence of moral integrity, he brought to the attention of the Court’s president that all the information in the press releases and documents submitted by us over the years reflect the reality of this cruel system.
Claudiu Dumitriu, together with Codruț Feher were invited to the law drafting as consultants on behalf of the civil society and NGO’s for animal welfare and they have warned those who made the law, but they have been ignored. That meeting with NGOs was organized only to be a mask to the drafting of this law with dedication. No account has been taken of any warnings, neither of the proposals of these associations for the protection of animals.
Association R.E.A.D.C. also proposed to the court other witnesses, representatives of animal protection associations and activists, but those were refused.
We wonder about the financial legality of C.M. V, which is a socio-professional association of veterinarians. Do they support out of the contributors’ money the political ambitions of the vice-president, deputy of Neamț and candidate for the post of mayor in Piatra-Neamț?
Also, we wonder: what is the role of C.M.V. in this trial filed by a political candidate?
Corruption has surnames, names and functions.
We thank to Mrs. Marcela Pîslă, President of the Association "Cuțu-cuțu” for support.
