Fines between 2000 and 5000 lei for citizens who do not vaccinate their dogs against rabies in the next 2 weeks
Dear citizens, inhabitants of Campia Turzii,
We would like to announce you that there are 2 more weeks in which your dogs can be vaccinated against rabies, during which you are asked to bring them to the concessionaire veterinarian office in order to get the vaccine (Str. Parcului, no. 7, opposite the Mechel canteen Veterinarian Dan Zmolea- 0743 770 764).
Our association comes to support both the animals and their owners, and it has been offering free microchips in Campia Turzii since 2013, so the owners of the domestic carnations were exempted from their costs and could then benefit from the rabies vaccination. Due to the victory that we obtained in 23rd of January 2018 at the Constitutional Court, the rabies vaccination is no longer conditional upon the prior microchip’s implantation (Constitutional’s Court Decision).
We remind you that, according to the Order 155/2001 the rabies vaccination of the domestic carnations is mandatory and is the responsibility of the owner, and in case of not performing the vaccine, owners are subjects to fines between 2.000-5.000 lei.
Public health and the wellbeing of the animals is the responsibility of each one of us, which is why, we ask everyone who owns a dog that is not yet vaccinated against rabies, to fulfil your owner’s duty and take him within the next 2 weeks to the cabinet of the veterinarian to make the vaccine required.
Those who can not travel are kindly requested to contact us by telephone to establish a home visit with the veterinary team.
