Summary report on the work of identification and monitoring of stray dogs, according to the protocol signed with the Local Council of Campia Turzii the Electronic Register of livestock and Company - Turda on 11/01/2013

1. We started the campaign for registration and microchipping of dogs with owner on 07/11/2013.

Owners of dogs have been informed in advance to appear in the five (5) fixed set of R.E.A.D.C contracted veterinarian, Dr. Calin Mărginean.

 In the early days I recorded a very low percentage present, although the owners of the dogs were announced by the obligation to appear. We jointly decided to continue the action, moving us new neighborhoods and streets of housing in housing, together with veterinarians, employees and collaborators contracted R.E.A.D.C., thus effecting a complete inventory of all owners of dogs in the city.

 We encountered many difficulties, we are not being allowed entrance of the court. Some people even hid their dogs or have removed from the property received us with aggressive behavior and recalcitrant. These people did not understand the importance of the campaign, did not want to take responsibility as pet owners, as previously misinformed on the role of micro and platelet recovery.

 Their fear was not to pay tax on animal owned, dated 01/01/2014, or costs 150 lei per record, as has been rumored in TV environments.

 Another unfortunate event during the campaign, was biting one of our veterinary doctors by an aggressive dog, out of control by the owner.

 I went hard work of convincing the citizens to explain the role, importance and seriousness of the campaign, and that the entire action was paid R.E.A.D.C., juveniles no other additional expenses.

 People who refused detained microchipping dogs are registered in our database and will be contacted in the hope that it will convince our earnestness slowly and safely.

2. The campaign is still ongoing, but in this short period, dogs were microchipped and the owner identified in 85%.

 85% representing the implantation of microchips, mounting plates R.E.A.D.C. the 1,315 dogs and 40 plates R.E.A.D.C. dogs who had already mounted an implanted microchip.

3. Currently, the unidentified, presents volunteer at the veterinary clinic provider, being microchipped dogs about 10 / week.

 Those who were not found at home are a minimum and we will contact and inform the next interval. We hope that by March to reach a rate of 95-97%. In the 3-5% fall unregistered owners who refused microchipping or buy their dogs without notice R.E.A.D.C.

 We are glad to inform you that the results are paying off action, team R.E.A.D.C. already announced 10 owners registered in our database about the death of the animals held.

 The first major event in the recovery of a lost dog, was the citizen Emil Moldovan, on 15.12.2013, which has restored the animal only after a few hours of his disappearance, was contacted by telephone permanent central R.E.A.D.C. by a resident of Campia Turzii. The citizen saw the dog and called the number R.E.A.D.C. Reflecting on the wafer, sending the license key on the back plate mounted on the dog collar.

 All this shows that citizens due to the information campaign and our action, began to understand and realize the importance of recording and monitoring the animals kept Thus increasing the degree of responsibility of the owners.

 Such requests are submitted by castration, which due to low temperatures can not be made at this time of year, but will be conducted this spring.

Start Campaign castration and appointments will be made by the veterinarian contracted by us.

 To raise awareness and improve our civic culture, I ordered a catalog information with dogs in various poses, tips and rules of behavior that may be introduced in schools in master classes, course catalog after the presentation at the next meeting of R.E.A.D.C. Campia Turzii and city leadership.

 This is necessary because good deeds and appropriate behavior in human-animal coexistence townhouse is grown through a process of education, still in school, to bear fruit.

4. R.E.A.D.C will donate four (4) Iso microchip readers Campia Turzii City Hall, which will be distributed to public guardians and Mr. Alin Irimies, adviser veterinarian.

This measure is particularly important because the shelter is in another city, and many owners because of old age, lack of transportation or material means, give the animal drag.

6. We propose that recorded and sent to shelter animals be separated from unregistered or sick. The recorded R.E.A.D.C. animals are dewormed, vaccinated against rabies and monitored, thus have more chances to be adopted.

7. A.N.S.V.A. and by competent bodies by the veterinarian contracted R.E.A.D.C. shall have the right information and access to common data base, according to the service contract, Section VI - 6, ended 07/11/2013.

Leadership and citizens municipality Campia Turzii can be proud that they live in the first city in Romania that has a complete inventory and current dogs, most modern and efficient identification, the combination wafer-chip central permanent and recording them in an international system search.

 In order to inform citizens timely and correct the major progress recorded by our joint action, we propose a press conference at the town hall informative Campia Turzii, on a date fixed by mutual agreement.
